Professor Johal has expertise in this field and feels this could reflect the fact that few adults received braces as children, those that did receive them only underwent removable brace treatment in the top jaw, with tooth loss and the effects of dental ageing and growth have caused the teeth to worsen in severity. The introduction of more modern brace options, offered by Professor Johal, including removable clear braces [aligners], Clear fixed outside braces and fixed inside braces have made treatment more acceptable amongst adults. 

The benefits are the SAME as those reported for teenagers BUT in addition, Professor Johal reports the added benefits of working in conjunction with your dentist or other dental specialists can achieve:
